Surgery for Lily

For the past couple of months we have been seeing different doctors for Lily's birthmark. We had been told that it wouldn't turn into cancer, but I had a strange feeling and wanted to have it checked out by a dermatologist. We met with a pediatric dermatologist and she said that the chances of it turning into cancer are from 0-8%. She recommended seeing a pediatric plastic surgeon. We met with two of them and they both would have it removed as well. We told Lily's pediatrician about the 0-8% chance, and she said even if it were only a 1% chance, she would have it removed too.

After long thought, conversations with family and friends, and doctors, we have decided to have it removed. She is scheduled to have surgery on September 10th. We are scared and worried for her. We think it is better to take care of it now rather than later if need be. She will have to have 2-3 surgeries to get all of it out.

Petting Zoo

Today we took Lily to the Zoomars Petting Zoo in San Juan Capistrano. She loved feeding all the animals. Her favorite part was feeding the bunnies.

As hard as I looked I wasn't able to find any coupons. This means that I had to pay, gulp, FULL PRICE!!

This is just a funny picture of her passed out in her crib.

You can never sit close enough to the T.V.

Shopping Trip with Jeff

Lily has been throwing fits and not just at home. She decided to throw a fit at Target the other day. I know this is a normal part of growing up and I am glad that she isn't throwing them as often anymore. The last couple of days have been pure joy!

Lily loves to organize things and she can do this for a long time. The other night when I checked on her in her crib she had all of her dolls lined up from character and then size! I was so amazed by her ability to do this! (No, she is not autistic)

Lily did her first somersault the other day.

She is now sitting on her potty and seems very proud of herself. We haven't pushed or encouraged her to do this so we are very happy that she is showing interest in it on her own. Will she be potty trained by 2?
